Red

Yes the color for today is RED. Why RED? I have been wanting to buy this software for the longest time, well at least a year. It is considered the industry standard when it comes to working with digital images. There is a problem however, the price tag. Now I have been looking all over the place trying to find some angle that allows me to get the software for free or reasonable. I found a way to get it for half price and today I finally ordered it. Still it was not cheap so that is why the color for the day is RED.

Last year Michigan tried to pass a new law and it failed to pass. According to the news it was introduced again today. Here is a link to an article about the same thing going on in Texas. It is a vaccine that, if administered before the girl is sexually active, lowers the chance of her getting HPV by 90 percent which is a leading cause of cervical cancer. Now it appears this is a three shot series. It also appears that she would need to come back in 5 years or it may wear off. They want to make this manditory, or at least require the parents to sign off and say they do not want their daughters to get the immunization.

Some people say it has not been tested enough as it has not yet been approved in the United States I do not believe although it has been through stage II and most of stage III testing. Some worry about side affects but studies say they are minimal. Some say it encourages the girls to be sexually active. OK, first off the meme's I have seen on blogger suggests that they are going to be active with or without the vaccine. Now 11 or 12, which is when the first shots are given, may be a little early but not for everyone. Still I am not sure how this would makes them sexually active.

Now my question here is do you think this should be legislated to require all girls to get vaccinated? What do you think? Not having children I guess I can not be very objective but I think the possibility of wiping out almost any chance of cervical cancer would be a very good thing and a great goal to head toward. Let's make this like other things that we have almost wiped out.

Well, as with any new vaccine, there were certain side effects... --Evolution

White

I am thinking this is a colors kind of week. Yesterdays color was BLUE. Todays color is WHITE. Over night we received between 1 to 3 inches of snow with another 1 to 2 inches on the way. The good news is it is the light fluffy kind of snow so it should be easy shoveling. I do not believe it will make good snowballs however. Perhaps a snow angle or two will be made of at SignGurls house.

I would consider doing that but I am sick and the less time I spend outside the better. I do feel a little better. On the advice of Manny I took some drugs. Oh wow man! Well actually over the counter drugs. Luckily my sinuses are doing better and I think this is helping keep stuff out of my lungs. Just the same, should you visit my blog today you may want to only stay a short time and maybe keep you mouth covered. Don't want to be spreading viruses here.

We have vendors in from Virgina today. Boy did they pick a wrong time to visit. At least it is not like Battle Creek over the weekend. They received up to two foot of snow. TWO FOOT, TWENTY FOUNR INCHES. Yikes! I guess we are trying to make up for lost time. Well time to go shovel all the white stuff before heading into work. Have a great day.

I Hate Blue

Over the weekend I had so much fun. I kept seeing blue and I hate blue. Well actually I hate blue screens on computers. Normally XP is pretty stable but not for me and not this weekend.

It started out just occasionally blue screening and progressed to where I could not even get through the boot process without a blue screen. So I brought it up in safe mode, ran some scans and crashed again. Brought it up regular, scanned it and other than a few spyware cookies, all was clean. Then I applied all the critical Windows updates I have been avoiding, upgraded to IE 7. upgraded to FireFox 2, let Dell (my machine is a Dell) do its things it recommended (mostly) and I once again seem to have a stable system (knock on wood).

I am glad. The one thing I did lately was add a lot of memory to the computer and I was afraid the memory was bad. So far I had it up most of yesterday and, once fixed, it has done well. I think it was complaining about a device driver problem. Probably all the upgrades I did (41 critical patches all together) ended up replacing the driver in question what ever it was.

Thank goodness, the blue is no more ... for now. Now I can get my income taxes done. I want my refund.

Yeah one more thing, uh... none of them wanna pay taxes again. --Armageddon

Saturday's Photo Scavengar Hunt - SILVER

PSHunt
Grab the Scavenger Hunt code.
Photo Theme. Join the blogroll. Visit participants.

This weeks theme is SILVER.

This week will be short and sweet. I thought of taking a closeup of my hair. I do not have a ton of grey (or is the SILVER) hair in there but there are some. We could have done coins. Several of my pieces of electronics are silver colored also but somehow none of that seemed to work. Until I came up with an idea.

A long time ago there was a beer that developed a bit of a nick name. Now there were neon signs and mirror signs that included the nickname but now a days it seems to all but be forgotten but I still remember.

The above is a pictures of a can of Coors Light beer. Now you might say yes, there is the SILVER for this weeks theme but actually that is not what it was all about. The nickname "The SILVER Bullet" is what I am presenting as my take on the theme for this week.

Here are One, Two, Three seperate links about Coors Light SILVER Bullet. Now I think I should go partake in this weeks theme by opening said exhibit and ...

Thank you very much for visiting. Have a wonderful weekend.

No Way

I was out wandering around the Internet and ran into something I just can not believe. It was about a law in Texas and what happened to a teacher down there. This teacher wanted to get into coaching wrestling so he filmed girls wrestling intending to learn the sport from this. Right how he is suspended and they are investigating. The law that was violated was something that was intended to keep people from taking pictures of children in a non public setting but this is being stretched to make it apply here.

OK, first let me say I never even thought about this. I mean I could get in so much trouble over just taking some pictures. Just for the heck of it I went back over the pictures I took at MSU. Know I know this is not the same thing as everyone there is over 18 but still. So I looked at the basketball pictures, no problems there. The mascott, the group pictures I took, all looked good. So then I cracked open the cheerleader pictures, all 300 or so of them.

For the most part they were all inocent enough. Sure there were a few pictures where the female cheerleaders cheer briefs were showing. One or tow of those pictures I posted on the last post. No biggy I think. Most of the shots the skirts are all down and that is fine. There are no pictures where I zoomed in on their chest or their butt or their crotch area. There was one or two shots where the cheerleader was kicking and you could see a little more of their cheer briefs but I think that was probably OK. But there was one shot that, if taken alone and not as a whole with the other 299 pictures it might be a problem. I certainly did not mean anything by it. It was a picture where the cheerleader had been tossed into the air and she had was spead eagle and most of the brief was showing. Now I do not mean anything other than the briefs were showing but I can see where someone might be concerned expecially if a lot of the pictures I was taking focused in on that. But I am sorry, gross. I would not feel right doing that but you know there are people out there that would do that.

Now I do not think Michigan has laws like Texas has on the books but there is no telling what they may pull up. I had thoughts of going to the local basketball games and taking pictures of the basketball players and cheerleaders if there were any but know I do not know. I mean I have no reason to be there. I mean I do not have a kid in the game or cheering. I am a tax payers and that is my school I fund but still. I can see how parents could be very uneasy about this. You never know what I am actually doing or what I am going to do with it. I might consider asking the school but I saw one place down in Florida that took finger prints and did back ground checks. Now I have nothing to hide but somehow this all just makes me feel dirty or something. Here we have something I love to do and now I don't know if I should.

I would love to here your thoughts. If you do not feel comfortable saying it here than please feel free to email me.

Moving on, would someone make the weather just stabalize somehow. Man I have sinus problems and now it is slipping into my chest. If the sinus problems would go away I would be all set but no. Arg!

Cheerleader Pictures

OK, I promised to post a few of the cheerleader pictures yesterday. Well I ended up a little busy and then I went to see Night at the Museum. Very good movie by the way. I have heard that there are museums that are scheduling sleep overs for like $75. Now after seeing the movie and thinking about it, it might be worth it. If they were to hire actors to dress and play the part of the various characters from history that have something to do with what they have on display, maybe, just maybe, the kids might learn something and have fun at the same time.

Anyway I was going to post a cheerleader picture or two. That was until I tried to narrow the 300 or so pictures down to a few pictures. So here are 9 pictures. I tried to narrow it down, sorry I am posting so many pictures.

Going to School

Over the weekend I attended a Michigan State University Woman's Basketball game. over 700 pictures later I am now looking at what I took and going to school on them.

OK, first off Sparty the mascot. Well that went OK. The group I was there with, those pictures were OK too. The band, well we were right on top of them and the band was a large group so I got some pictures but it was tough to get anything worth writing home about.

The cheerleaders I did great. I have plenty of room for improvement but I will ve enlarging and printing at least a couple of them. I will add a picture or two of the cheerleaders to this post later when I get a chance.

The game itself, I failed. Looking at the pictures they are just average. I have so much to learn about shooting basketball. I am thinking of attending the local high school games and practice, practice, practice. One thing about the pictures from Sunday, if I crop them they are much better. If I do that to some of the pictures I might be able to salvage some of the game. Here is one of those pictures cropped to look much better.

OK, I have to admit I like that picture. By the way, player number 41 is a tall drink of water. She is 6' 9", does a good job playing basketball, and seems to be a super person on top of it all. I just might need to watch more MSU basketball.

T.G.I.F.

Woo hoo, got that beer or three last night and it felt good. Now I only skipped out of the last 30 minutes of work but I beat feet to the bar to make sure I was drinking my beer before 5:00 which is my official quiting time.

Also had success at work. I spent most of the day doing a very tedious task of making sure new software we received from our vendor was working OK, doing everything it used to, working the way it used to, looks the way it used to and yet provides us with a 9th microphone. The tedious part is visiting every single screen in the system and comparing it against a book. If anything changes then snapshot the screen and add it to the book. Then test functionality and stress test. Another 30 minutes of testing I will be so ready for Monday when we actually get the 9th microphone installed.

I will be puting up a Photo Hunt picture later today for Saturday and may not post again until late Sunday since this weekend is so darn jam packed. I am sure I was have something to share than. For now however TGIF and have a wonderful weekend everyone.

Wasn't That a Party?

Could have been the whiskey, might have been the gin.
Could have been three or four six-packs,
I don't know, but look at the mess I'm in,
My head is like a football, I think I'm gonna die,
Tell me, me oh me oh my,
Wasn't that a party?

Someone took a grapefruit and wore it like a hat,
I saw someone under my kitchen table, talking to my old tom cat,
They were talking about hockey and the cat was talkin' back,
Along about then everything went black,
But wasn't that a party?

I'm sure it's just my memory playin' tricks on me,
But I think I saw my buddy cuttin' down my neighbour's tree,

Could have been the whiskey, might have been the gin.
Could have been three or four six-packs,
I don't know, but look at the mess I'm in,
My head is like a football, I think I'm gonna die,
Tell me, me oh me oh my,
Wasn't that a party?

Old Billy Joe and Tommy, well they went a little far,
They were sitting in my backyard blowing on the siren in somebody's police car.
So you see, your honour,
It was all in fun,
That little bitty track meet down on main street,
Was just to see if the cops could run,
Well, they run us in to see you,
In an alcoholic haze,
I can sure use those thirty days to recover from the party.

Could have been the whiskey, might have been the gin.
Could have been three or four six-packs,
I don't know, but look at the mess I'm in,
My head is like a football, I think I'm gonna die,
Tell me, me oh me oh my,
Wasn't that a party?

Well, no skipping out of work yesterday. I had a user I had to take care of and I could not drag anyone out to the bar but tonight we are leaving early and going to do it up so it was just delayed a day.

The project my cohort in crime and I were working on for 2 weeks went smashingly and my boss and his boss were very pleased. It was a lot of planning, hard work, and sweat but it payed off.

Unbelievable, I plan to watch American Idol through the gathering talent phase and then go away. I hate the voting. At this point I do not understand why I watch. MN was interesting, Seatle was terrible. I think they need to go to New York or somewhere and see if there is any untapped tallent. There was a diamond or two from Saetle but I think it is played out, seariously.

More snow on the way but only an inch. I hope it keeps away somewhat. I have to go to Detroit, then Livania, then Detroit, than East Lansing and who knows where else this weekend. Busy, busy, busy but I get to play with my camera. :) Oh that and see the neice play basketball and cheerlead. She makes an OK basketball player but a pretty good cheerleader. I am surprised her Dad is OK with that. He is pretty protective of her. I pitty the first person that tries to date her some day.

Looks like another Michigan Blogger meeting is in the works. If you would like to see what is going on then stop here. Note this is in the very begining stages. Please stop by and help us plan this out. For anyone that thought about attending last year but was unable... it was a fun time and we all fit in well. Do think about going. Now find your way over to the blog and say hi and leave some feedback. Go on ... you can do it!

Happy Hour

I am going to play hooky today. I am going to sneak out of work early. Yep, first thing this morning I am going to go ask the boss if I can leave a few hours early and hit happy hour. Maybe I will bring him along. I think I owe him a beer or two. Yep that is right, I am such a rebel, such a BAD BOY!

OK, who am I kidding. Aside from shoplifting a long time ago when I should have known better, writing in wet cement (and getting caught), and getting a few speeding tickets I will never be a bad boy. That is a shame cause the ladies so seem to be attracted to them. Don’t they know bad boys are bad news? Do they like getting hurt? Oh well.

Yep, I am planning on, once I get my work done, skipping out a few hours early and hitting happy hour. I so can taste that beer now. That and maybe a bar burger. I really shouldn’t but it will help put a nice cap on the last two weeks at work.

You know the hot sauce called Dave’s Insanity? I am telling you work makes that sauce seem like barbeque sauce in comparison. Luckily my current project culminates today and my next project, adding another microphone to our sound system, should be much easier. I have been working on that for a week and now I have to hit the ground running in hopes of pulling that off by Friday, or Monday at the latest. Time to coordinate this project.

Testing, One... Two... Three...

Anyone want to join me for happy hour? I will have them pour one for you. First one is on me.

Hello, hello. Testing, testing. One, one, one. Me, me, me. Attention, all lady cats. I am feeling very, very sexy. Can you hear me, lady cats? My body is available. Please form a queue. No squabbling. This is your lucky day. –Red Dwarf

On the Rocks

I am so wiped out at the moment. I have been outside, on and off, for almost 3 hours or is that 4? We were hit with an ice storm. Luckily we were not hit to bad. All and all we ended up with about a 1/10 of an inch while some areas to the South (where SignGurl works) saw up to a half inch of ice. Around where I am there are no people without power with over 20.000 customers without power down south. They may not see power restored until some time on Wednesday.

Now for todays lesson. We received 1 to 2 inches of snow. The next day we were expecting the ice storm. Do you shovel the snow or not? Well my neighbor shoveled including this 20 to 25 foot section of sidewalk between our properties. I was lazy, I opted not to shovel. Today I shoveled my property including the sidewalk between our properties. Now I am not going to tell you it was easy. It was a lot of work. My hair is a mess, I am so tired, and I need a shower. The part that had not been shoveled came up with not a ton of effort. The part that had been shoveled was terrible. I am so glad this was a small section to be done. I probably spent 20 to 25 percent of the time doing that little section. It was much harder then even the drive way that I had driven on and packed down the snow.

So what did we learn? Procrastinating is good. Well actually we learned that if we have a choice between ice on cement directly or ice on snow, leave the d*m snow go and get it later.

Susan, I've never heard you talk like that... Are we about to get it on? Because I'm as hard as a diamond in an ice storm right now. --Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby

Mad Ramblings

I had a strange dream last night. First of all I have not remembered a dream for a long time. I believe they say we all dream, just some people do not remember them.

In this dream I was in a relationship with someone, lets call her Dawn. She did not have a name but I thought this might make it easier. It appeared this was a fairly new relationship as Dawn kept saying things and asking questions of me. It seemed like she was trying to feel things out.

We were in a building. It was either a shopping mall or some sort of museum. We were walking all over the place and looking at things. At one point I remember us standing in front of this small elevator. When the door opened three people went in and I walked in too filling the elevator. Of course, being just a guy and apparently pretty stupid at that, I stayed on the elevator as the door closed without Dawn getting on since she could not.

Now I went to the other floors (there were 3 in all) and finally got off at the lowest one before I realized Dawn was not there. So I pressed the button to go up and, once it came, got on board and went back to the floor where I had left Dawn.

When I got out there she was sitting at a table and reading a book and ignoring me. Then she got up and we both walked back into the bigger part of the not really together. She was obviously mad at me and I can not blame her but I am sorry, this was all so different to me.

It was at this point I woke up and no more dream. Now what was strange is I have not even been in a relationship for some time. I am kind of wondering where on earth this came from? Maybe it is because I was thinking about a wedding I will be attending at the end of June. In a way it makes sense as the bride to be is short and blonde similar to what Dawn was however that was not her. Now I do like the bride to be but not in that way. Well, now you know about my last night.

I was getting a little frustrated with the new way of eating. With things being very hectic at work I have not exactly been fitting in the meals and on occasion not eating right. The exercise has been sporadic. It is not wonder things were not going well. Today I was all set to go out and eat breakfast and not all the light of a meal either. Then I weighed in and found out I had lost what I had been gaining the last couple of days. I suspect it was me building up bulk. So I changed my mind and started trying to follow the new way to eat and see where it leads me. Sure can’t wait for things to ease back after Wednesday. I think I will even go out for a beer or three after our training session is done.

I have been trying to learn what I can about photography. Now I do OK at it. I should, I have been snapping pictures for over 40 years now. I usually do pretty good but there is something missing. My pictures are not much better then ordinary. I mean sometimes I hit a home run but usually I just get a double and occasionally a single. Where did that come from anyway? The current book focuses on taking digital photographs, how the pros do it. Some of the things I have read I already knew. Some things may be tough for me to apply. But there were a bunch of things I have learned. Next I start reading a book on exposure. I think I need to fit in a book on wedding photography. Not that most of what they say is for me. I have no intention of shooting a wedding for a living but I do love to take pictures at weddings. It won’t hurt to get ideas. Of course I am sure some of what they are going to say is get a wide angle zoom and a second camera body. I love photography but it sure can be an expensive hobby. Any one want to buy and old film camera?

Back to the garage to finish that one messy corner.

Saturday's Photo Scavengar Hunt - TECHNOLOGY

PSHunt
Grab the Scavenger Hunt code.
Photo Theme. Join the blogroll. Visit participants.

This weeks theme is TECHNOLOGY.

First the picture I am entering for this week I did not take. Sorry, I knew what I wanted to post but I could not find it in my small library. So forgive me, this is the first time I have done this. I promise to replace it and post it in the future when I am able to take one.

Now I have three pictures way down below. The first one I did not take. The next two I did. If you want you can skip this long story and go right to the end to see the pictures.

I have been on this earth for a lot of years. During this time I have seen TECHNOLOGY really change. Televisions started out in black and white and not everyone owned one. Most people, if they did own one, only had one and it was a piece of furniture. A little later the color TV came along and very few could afford them. They were still pretty bulky too. Tubes disappeared, they got smaller and more affordable, they became flat, higher resolution and weigh a lot less.

Telephones where rotary dial phones. It took 30 seconds or more to dial a number. They were good size but built solid (I know, my parents still have two). After a while they went touch tone, they got smaller and became wireless. Then they became car phones, then bag phones and much smaller cell phones of today. You could even take that one step further and mention Satalite phones. Somewhere in there they added lots of features like memory, voice dial, camera phone, organizer, and I am sure much more.

Television reception was over the air. You received ABC, CBS, NBC. Where I lived we received CBC too since I grew up near Canada. Eventually PBS began to spread. Then came cable TV. I think we could get 13 channels or was that 26. It might have been a wired remote too. Eventually you could get much more channels and then cable went digital. At the same time services started to be offered over cable such as Internet and dial tone. Then came along those big dishes and satalite TV was born. They were the size of a small car but you could get all kinds of stuff. Then the dish started to be a mesh allowing light and more important wind to pass through. They 18 inch dishes were born,

Cameras have went from being black and white film, to color film, to advanced color film, and finally to digital. The digital went from under a mega pixel and not very good to cameras with over 12 mega pixel that can out perform film cameras. In there we had 8m video camera that went to VHS and digital. Betmax was invented, VHS, and DVDs. Albums were 78s, followed by 33 1/3, cassette, 8 track, CD, and MP3.

I have went on way to long. So here is my picture for TECHNOLOGY.

This is a picture of fire. You may ask how this is TECHNOLOGY? Go ahead, I'll wait. Well, thinking back to cave man times fire was a most important technology. That and the wheel and maybe the club.

OK, since I did not take that picture, let me add a couple I did take. This first picture is my first cell phone. It is a bag phone. I was happy I had it but it was not very practical.

I had a few other cell phones in there and here is my present day cell phone. Now I know there are much more advanced cell phones than what I have pictured here.

Thank you very much for visiting. I should be able to start visiting again once Wednesday is over and work is a lot less demanding on me. Have a great weekend and a better week.

Busy

Insanity is heareditary. You get it from work.

It's true, life is going crazy at least for another day or two. Work, I had to go to one building to install something today. Later on I went back to the same building to make some minor changes to the setup on a program. If I was able to actually think I could have done both in one trip and saved time. I even had some fun questions to research and ... I managed to get maybe 20 minutes of work done.

I will be back in a day or two, promise. Until then... what is up with blogger?

Saturday's Photo Scavengar Hunt - MEMORY

PSHunt
Grab the Scavenger Hunt code.
Photo Theme. Join the blogroll. Visit participants.

This weeks theme is MEMORY.

Believe it or not I actually forgot about the hunt this week. I sure wish I could just purchase some of the latest and greatest MEMORY and slide it into my head somehow.

OK first up we have my old digital camera and the MEMORY it took.

Just a little while before I got my current camera I discovered that this camera could take a second type of MEMORY. I bought a card and loved it.

It turns out that the new camera uses the same MEMORY as the second camera could use. It is called Compact Flash. Pictured here you see the current camera and the newer MEMORY. This is their pro line of MEMORY however it is one step below their latest MEMORY. It is fast esepcially when I offload my pictures off of my camera. When you have a one gig card the difference in time is minutes. When you are in a hurray, minutes seems like forever. Here is my new camera and the MEMORY it uses.

Finally, would you believe it, my elliptical trainer uses memory too. I contains workouts on them. You can buy other cards for different types of workouts and three different levels of intensity. Here is my Elliptical Trainer console with the memory module placed on it for the photograph.

Does anyone know if SanDisk (or anyone) makes memory that I could just plug into me. Please say yes.

Thanks for visiting and have a great week.

False Alarm and Other Stuff

OK, the 21 pounds was a bit premature. I lost a ton of weight when I weighed in on Wednesday. I can accept that. Than the next day I lost a ton of weight AGAIN. That I could not accept. I was very worried. I made a little adjustment on today I gained back some. I think what actually happened I was very dehydrated on Thursday and I think I am holding water today. Anyway false alarm. I think I will wait a few days and see where I am.

Boy don't know what it was but I had a much harder time exercising today and kept going above my target heart zone. I had to keep slowing down on the elliptical. Maybe it was a bad hair day only this was a bad fitness day.

I have always had these interesting things happen at everywhere I work. You know where someone asks for something unreasonable to be done and it needs to be done yesterday. Well it happened again and the fun thing about it, I heard about it indirectly on the street. I was walking to another building and someone else I work with that is in a different division was talking about what his boss was asked to do. Well it turns out they should be involved but so should my division. So I passed that onto my boss. He contacted his boss and sure enough, we need it done and we need it done by Wednesday. So my boss contacted our vendor, so did I though email. Today we started things rolling. There is no way this will be done before next month but at least things are moving in the right direction. I just do not undertand why things like this keep happeneding. Is it me somehow?

I think I am going to try Open Office. I love spreadsheets and my main computer at home only has WordPerfect on it. I think it is time to get me a spreadsheet. Right now I want to use it to track my weight loss as I have not seen anything do what I want it to do. I already have a fairly complex collections of sheets for and it does what I want. Besides other things I wanted a graph that showed my current weight but also showed my goal weight. Actually I set two goals. One is lose a pound a week. The other goal is lose more weight, I won't say how much. By charting all three weights I can see visibly how I am doing. I did this before and it was very motivating.

Sorry I am talking about weight stuff again. I said I was not going to do that but it has consumed me this week. I will do better. Well I best check out what the photo hunt is this weekend.

Talk about premature jubilation. You, gentlemen might want to see a doctor about that. --Charmed

Total Calories Burned5,772

You know the interesting thing is I purchased a Polar Heart Rate Monitor about 2 years ago. I had noticed that I expended a fair amount more calories doing the elliptical than doing the treadmill. This kind of supports that. Of course I was walking on the treadmill, not running, and that makes a big difference.

I thought this was interesting and thought I would pass it along. I have not looked very much at the site I mentioned above, http://www.healthstatus.com/, but it looks like it might be an intereting site to share. Oh, I did toss in a couple of things just for the heck of it later on that did not make this list.

Sleeping for 20 minutes .......43
Sex - Forplay ......................68 (shouldn't this have been 69?)
Sex - Intercourse ..............198 (that is no fun ... the number that is, not that activity)

And we also have a jacuzzi and sauna, but old people shouldnt use the sauna because it raises the heart rate, and gives everyone else the willies! --8 Simple Rules ... For Dating My Teenage Daughter

A New Start

I have been all busy trying to knock a few items off my list for New Years. I certainly have not got eveything done but I put a good dent in it.

One of the items I somewhat finished it the garage, Now it is not done. I still need to hang a storage rack from the ceiling so I can get my card tables out of the way and, the one thing you do not see in the two above pictures is my one corner of the garage. It is next on the docket after I get my foyer in order. That way I can hopefully store all the stuff in the garage that is where a car needs to park. I probably will get one more storage unit to. This whole thing has proven to be much more work than I thought but at last I can see light at the end of the tunnel.

I have an elliptical trainer all put together and I have used it for the past two mornings. I have to hit it yet this morning. I am so out of shape that I am taking it slow. Only 20 minutes at a fairly low intensity. None the less it is enough to get my heart into the target zone so that is good.

The new way of eating is going pretty well. I splurged for new years eve and I had to take that back off. Over all I am down 15 pounds from when I started part way through December. Only problem is I under ate yesterday. I can really see it on the scales today. I felt hungry part of the day. With Eating for Life that should not be. So I will be adjusting today. I will get this figured out yet.

I have several mini goal weights. My first one, I am not sure what it is or when it will happen. Right now I am large enough that I have to shop at specialty stores. My first mini goal is to be able to shop at any store once again. I am guessing that will occure some time in late January. My second mini goal will be to lose 32 pounds. That should happen by mid February. My next mini goal beyond that will be 66 pounds total which I should be at around Easter time frame. This will be a very rewarding mini goal as I have a suit that I have only worn twice that I should fit into at that point. I bought it tight and then gained weight after that. I have many mini goals after that. All the goals after that are much easier to get to but still, it should be a fun year.

OK, off to hit the elliptical. I sure can't wait to were I look forward to exercising once again. Any day now.

Oh by the way, I hate to even bring it up but we have only had about 3 inches of snow so far this season. We are down at least 10 inches so far although we are ahead of the game as far is parcipitation is concerned. There is only a snow shower or two forcasted in the next 7 days but no real snow. See, I told you buying a new snow blower would keep the snow away.

When my first husband left me I was so angry I wanted to cut his brake cables... but instead we ended up having sex on the elliptical machine. --Bewitched
