PSA: Be Careful with Candles

Candles are nice looking.

They can add a nice scent to the air.

They can help remove not so nice scents also.

There is something about the way a candle flame quetly but gracefuly dances.

The shadows that are cast on the walls can almost be hypnotic.

But there is a down side to candles. Someone that I work with lost his home over the weekend. It started in his bedroom and before he could do anything about it the house was a total loss. He has about as much of his house left as the house in this picture. Luckily no people died however his pets were not so lucky.





There are guidelines you should pay attention to about candles. National Candle Association has guidelines and other information about candles and their dangers. I found another interesting document from the State of New York. So enjoy your candles but please be careful.
