This weeks theme is ARCHITECTURE.

Last year, late summer/early fall I decided to head over to the State of Michigan Capitol. I forgot about these pictures and was thinking of skipping this week, instead I am posting real late.

Here are a series of pictures of the Capitol. The architect was Elijah E. Meijer. Construction of the Capitol was completed in 1879. These pictures do not do it justice. I need to go back and take some more pictures when spring gets here and stitch them together into a panorama since I do not have a wide angle lens.

Thank you very much for visiting. Have a wonderful weekend.

Those are AWESOME photos!!! If I was back home I'd have some in my archives to post...BUT...there aren't any for the theme on my daughter's computer.

Jan, I miss you posting. It will be nice when your daughter has her baby and you make your way home. Thanks for stopping by.

Manny there are some pretty interesting buildings. I really should wander downtown early some Saturday or Sunday and take in the sights with the camera. Maybe once all the snow is gone or once spring happens.

Thank you David and thank you so much for visiting. I am enjoying these hunts but I was a little lazy on this one.

Sign, sorry. I visited last Wednesday and had not seen updates for a day or two and then never came back. Congratulations on losing so much weight in only 5 months. Incredible.

Thank you Laurie and Chris, I have not been going out anc checking hunt pictures. I supose I best be write over and see what you have posted. Thanks for stopping by.

Suze I plan I returning early some morning just after sun up and take a series of pictures and stitch them together. Not sure if I will be able to post it or not. It is a pretty neat building. I think that is a picture I will have to print and frame ... somehow.

Thank you Milkmaid. You have Fridays, I have Saturdays. It is kind of fun and thanks for visiting.

WMY, the sky is nice. I think I need to have a filter on the camera to get the sky like that again. Last time I think I was lucky. Two of my fave pictures are the first and the last. They both look kind of post card-ish.

Marcia I liked the third picture two. I had a little over 2o pictures to narrow down and I almost cut that one but it showed a lot of the building besides the dome which I liked.

Thank you Melissa. When I moved up to the area back 18 years ago I thought it was wonderful to actually be able to see our state capitol. My niece came up for a tour of the Capitol and I joined them. After living here this long it is about time I take a tour.
