55Flash Fiction Friday

The tree lights up and I gun it smoking the tires all the way. I am not the first off the line and I will pay dearly for that. I manage to get her under control only to have to slam on the breaks and come to a quick halt. City driving is a b*tch.

There, not my best but that is certainly fiction if you have ever driven with me. I do squawk the tires on occasion but that is about it. Watching people drive sometimes reminds me so of those drag race cars and the scene depicted here. Have a wonderful weekend every one. Oh and do go visit Suzie and give a 55 flash a try sometime. Click the link on my side bar if you want more info about the 55 flash.

Oh! what a situation. reminds me of an accident I had.We were about to ram in a tree & skidded again just to go over the cliff, flying in the air.& then something miraclulos happened. Our car got stuck in a tree & hung from there & not a scratch on anyone!

This is so well done! I can almost see the car screeching to a halt!

Man, living in Chicago, I can SOOO relate. I've squealed the tires quite often in traffic. It makes me feel good to let the asshole behind me know that have no problems taking him off the line.

I don't like squealing my tires, but I LOVE to drive.
And I LOVE to drive fast.
Put me on the interstate and I'm a happy girl.
Great job Bryan! And I think you write wonderful 55's!

Mona, wow I am so glad how it turned out. I have been very fortunate myself a few times. I think it just means your life is destined for something special.

Flash, I am sure they got the message too. Don't mess with a mans car.

JJ, I have to go catch up on your site now I see you there again. I have been missing you. Oh and thank you.

Snowelf, I do not squeal them all that much but sometimes it just happens. Then I snicker to myself. You see I drive a mini van. Somehow I just do not think of that kind of vehicle and squealing tires unless it is stopping quick to keep from hitting a kid or a animal.

Strumpet, when I grew up I heard tell we had a lady in a very fast white car with a bumper sticker that said the very same thing. Legend has it no one beat her, ever. I never did see this car. Somehow I do not think I could beat you ... that is unless you wanted me to. ;)

Sign, I learned from the best. G-man is such an inspiration I tell you.

Barman,

Your reply to my comment has left me with insight into my own life about some things. I have to thank you for that.

Cos you are right, there is no one who should be able to beat me unless I want them to, right?

Or, at least, I can pretend that to be so.

And pretending is fun, so why not?
