55Flash Fiction Friday

Scared is he, from the phone call he got
Test he did have, why the call, they said not
can not call until Monday,
sure wish it was Sunday

Worry the whole weekend not sure what is wrong
I sure wish it would not be so long
before I could find out what is wrong.

Unfortunately this is all to real. I have had it happen before and here we go again. I had blood work-up yesterday. The doctors office called today about the work-up but said call me back. Of course they called me at home so I did not get it until they let. They say call today before 2:00 or after 8:00 on Monday. I am going to be so worried the entire weekend.

Well I know the work-up was about the heart, diabetes, and prostrate. I guess all I can do is take it easy and check my sugar levels and see what happens Monday. It hate this. Now I will probably get a panic attack.

Well despite my weekend ... I hope yours is much a great one and G, here is hoping for that WIN.

Bryan, I'm worried along with you. It could very easily be nothing but high cholesterol and they are calling to set you up to highly medicate you. You know how they love to push the pills.

I hope you have an awesome weekend despite your worry :)

It happened to me a few minutes ago. I found the message requesting a call back on my answering machine at 7:00 p.m. along with the information that the office is open 9:00 a.m. thru 5:00 p.m., Monday thru Friday.

I'm sorry to hear your worrisome but well written 55. I have a dear friend who just had a PET scan (cancer finding) test today, and now must also wait the weekend out. Hang in there - and say, I really like your scale on the side bar. I'm trying to lose weight and get in shape right now too, and man alive, it is tough. I just got put on blood pressure medicine, and I've always had LOW blood pressure until now. Dang, what's with these bodies of ours?

Sign, well I will just take care and hope it is nothing big. I will make the weekend drag for sure. My cholesterol is probably OK. One thing that concerned me was he checked a test that I did not remember seeing before for cardio health. Hopefully if it was that serious that would have said go to the hospital. Oh well, time to work on the cornhole games.

Nick, I have had that happen several times. Why could this not happen on a Thursday instead. Oh well, I will get through it. I wonder if I can put Monday after Friday, just for this week you understand.

tsduff, there are some places you can find those pictures like that to show progress. That one I borrowed the picture and added the weight to it. Unfortunetly it has been staying more or less in one spot for far to long. Time to get the ball rolling again.

If you are healthy make sure you are getting exercise. Losing weight should help too. Keep in mind that you changed from low to high blood pressure. Maybe other things changed to like maybe you react to caffeine now or salt is a problem. Good luck on getting things back in control and on your future weight loss.

Bryan, maybe they just want to talk to you to give you the results over the phone. My grandpa's dr. always gave him blood testing results over the phone, good or bad.
I am sending you positive energy, don't worry please!

Worrying is not going to help Bryan. Instead think positive and that it is going to be ok.

I went to the docs recently and got yelled at for my cholesterol. Like really stern warning from him too. Now I'm worried sick about my damn health! how ironic is that!

I had that experience once. I had to get tested for this major bone disease that the doctor "was sure" I had...

so for a week, I sat there wondering if I should start planning my funeral or not...

I lost a lot of sleep that week.

I hate going to the doctor.

Hate, hate, hate.

They don't even give you a sucker anymore.

There should be no age limit on sucker-giving.

And despite all of my tattoos, I cry, (and I do mean BAWL,) every time I have bloodwork done.

I feel bad for the nurses having to deal with the likes of me.

Now that I finally have insurance again, I really need to get in there and have everything checked out and make sure Strumpet is doing okay.

I say, just try and keep yourself busy with your cornhole and sports and other things that you enjoy doing to get your mind off it.

Maybe read a good book.

Stephen King always works well for me.

Or indulge in a bottle of red wine. Red wine is GOOD for your heart and has lots of anti-oxidants.

At least, that's my excuse.

Everything happens for a reason, maybe you're just supposed to have this scare so you get your butt in gear and start getting healthy! It ain't easy, but once you get into the swing of things that you enjoy doing...with regards to exercise...and find some foods that are healthy that you really dig on and learn about portion control...it gets really easy. You'll shed the pounds in no time at all and that will help everything else get healthier too. But, it's baby steps. It doesn't happen overnight and you can't give up. This is true whether you're trying to lose five pounds or fifty, dude. You just gotta keep trying. Hang in there, Barman. It'll all work out how it is supposed to. Try to find inspiration in this. Use your nerves to motivate you to do other things.

And in the meantime, stock your fridge with healthy fruits and veggies from a cool store like Whole Foods. Do you have those by you? I'm addicted to that place! Or Trader Joe's! Those are great too.

Remember, an apple a day keeps the doctor away!

I bought five yesterday. When I don't eat my apple, I REALLY feel it.

They're my new crack.

Not that I've ever had crack.

Crack is whack.

I guess as long as you're not doing crack, Bryan, you're doin' alright. So, at least, you have that going for you...

You're not a secret crack user are you?

=P

You'll be just fine.
Dr. Offices are notorious for this crap!
Don't fret or they would have sounded much more urgent on the phone!
Well written 55 BTW...

AND!!!

How about those WOLVERINES???

Finally....!!!!
