This weeks theme is LOST.

I had several things I was thinking about for LOST but none of them were working for me.

So what we have here is a float that I see on Memorial Day here in the United States. What it represents is freedom that has been lost. This is a captured prisoner of War from when the United States was involved in the Vietnam War.

I realize that this particular photo could strike a nerve with some people. If that is the case I would like to appologize as that was not my intention. This particular picture actually has a lot of meaning to me on a lot of levels from back them and even now. Wouldn't it be nice one day if we could all get along and the whole concept of war would simply be lost. To world peace.

Thank you for visiting and best wishes to you for a good weekend.

Lost, but in my mind--------never forgotten. I lost a loved one from the war. Let's just say I'd be a widow now. But, he will never be forgotten. (Your concept is very close to my heart.)

Happy Saturday Bryan.

That's a great photo for this weeks theme. People need to be reminded of all those lives we lost in all the different wars.

Thank you for stopping by and for your kind words.

Boy, Bryan, I think this is an excellent photo for today's theme. What's alittle controversy among friends? LOL..Leaves me feeling quite sad, truly for all the brave deeds and service these people did and still do in our military each day. That's why the possibility of four more years in Iraq is really unsettling to me. Hmmm..

Thanks for stopping by my blog today. Your photo makes alot of sense to me and I think we're all alot wiser because you did.

Cheers,
Carol

I am just finding it so interesting, all the posts for this theme. So many of the photos need an explanation, so it becomes about the stories as well. Yours is another interesting story/photo for this week's theme. I'm glad you posted this. Mine is up too.

Wonderful choice for this weeks theme. I love the pic and to read a bit about it as we don't know that much about it here in Sweden.

Hi Suze, weekend went well but to short. I went golfing with my Dad and Sister. We all did bad but that is OK.

Great pick, Barman! I knew you'd have a good one. You're always so creative with your S.P.S.H. pictures!

I thought "lost" was a tough one.
