She Loves Me, She Loves Me Not

OK, first off this is not what you think. Yesterday and today I have been pulling weeds. It has been fun, NOT.

Actually the weeding has not went to bad. There where a few that just had to shift my retaining wall a little. Slowly I made progress and finally I could see the real difference it was making.

I still have two spots to weed. The bigger area will be easy. I am not looking forward to the small area. Then it is on to triming and edging and cutting the lawn. All this I was suppose to get done yesterday. The return of some of the heat did not help. Hopefully I will be done today.

Now you know what fun weekends I have. Well I best get back at it.

That's a very energetic way of doing the weeding, Jack. --The Magical Legend of te Leprechauns

I am not talking weeds!

My neighbors hate me this year. I'll have to make it up to them by decorating pretty for Christmas.

I am usually out there in March getting things ready and keeping them tended to the entire season. I am just not feeling it this year. Maybe in September.

Welcome to my hell! I feel like Manny does. I'm just not feeling it this year. We used to have the cutest house on the street. Not so much this year.

Well things were looking pretty bad so I finally jumped in and did it. It took me a while but I have all the weeding that I am going to do, done. I also got the triming done and will probably cut half the lawn tomorrow morning. By tomorrow night it should look fairly spiffy.

Suze, a couple of the areas had plants there so the killer would not have had the desired affect. Now I will cover everything I can with grass and hopefully keep the weeds away. I had most of it covered but I need to do the rest.

Gab I have been putting this off for so long it was about time I get it done.

You have my abject sympathy, weeding on a week-end in awful heat. Triple yuck. You're a dedicated homeowner Bryan i'll say that for you! :)

I wish that were true PattiCake. If I would have been weeding throught the year than it would have been a simple task but no. I just decided I could not put it off any longer so this weekend it finally was time. I must say, even though the lawn is not edged or cut yet, it looks much better.

I was thinking about that Roxi. Since this is a major event in my boring life maybe I will do that tomorrow.

Barman, you should do like I did. I have all kinds of "wild flowers" (weeds) growing in the flowerbed. They have flowers on them and if I leave them alone I will have a privacy wall in front of my porch!! LOL You worked in your yard this weekend and I worked on a field!! Football field that is. LOL

Hey IndiansFan. I saw the end of the 3rd and all the 4th quarter. I forgot. Somehow I thought indoors so I was surprised when I saw the BLIMP view. Didn't see you however, shucks!

I had some of those wild flowers myself. Some looked like daisy's, some were purple and very pretty but most were just green. Mine were only about a foot and a half at the worst so I think I would have a ways to go. Oh I did have some viney stuff ... no grapes however.

Darn, no grapes? you could have made us some wine! Actually where it is played every year is at Fawcett Field in Canton, which happens to be a high school field. Canton is small enough that they have 3 high schools that use the field and 2 colleges. It has beautiful astro turf (if you like that) and 2 great big screens, but it is 2 sets of concrete bleachers (visitors bathrooms suck, just like any high school!!) and a set of steel bleachers at each end. It does seat 20,000 from what I was told tho. Don't tell Canton residents but I think it's the money maker that keeps the town alive!
