I may be missing a little bit over the next few days. My cable modem bit the big one last night as far as I can tell. I will be talking to the cable company and most likely making a trip to the store. Until then I will peek in from time to time.
Editor: A few bucks later but I am back. Replaced the cable modem and I was straight in. This Internet/Blogger addiction is expensive.

Just take it to them and get a replacement. I've had problems and they tell me the same crap to try each time I call. I tell them I did all the normal crap, but they still insist anyway. You know the routine. Turn off the everything, now turn on the computer, then the blah, blah, blah. After that's all done, they tell me to bring in the modem or wait for a service call. Just save yourself the bother and bring the modem in and get it over with.
What will we do without your wit? Get it fixed quick.

OK, new cable modem. I have it set up. Now I need to move it down stairs and plug it into the router and ... almost there.

It's expensive ....but when I think back to the days when I could CLICK,while running to the fridge for a Dr,Pepper,stopping for a tee-tee,and maybe even answering the phone,while the page MAGICALLY FINALLY appears....then I say "Thank you Lord for high speed".
Hi-speed also shortens my time on the net.Although,I do admit that I got my fingernails painted nicely while I was on dial-up.(giggle)
Would rather have hi-speed than a phone.....oh but I didn't say cell phone.I meant to say home phone. :-}

I know what you mean. I believe I have managed to break the addiction some. Being sick helps because I don't have the energy to sit, read, and type. LMAO OUCH!

You need to go wireless and you can take your blog friends to bed with you. Oohps! I said too much already.
It suuuuure is! Cable modems... Ethernet boards... all of it! And ANY piece that knocks your "puter" out too! OY!
