Off Camping

I will be out of here soon. First I have to work at least until noon when they can get something out the door than I am going to try and scoot out the door to get a leap on...

camping. Now I am not going camping at a Jellystone Park campground actually. I am heading to Walnut Hills Campground. There is a group of between 40 and 60 people going. It is always a good time on spill lot C where we end up every year. They have neem doing this for probably 20 years, most of which has been at this campground.

It is a fun weekend filled with lots of family fun. This year we have a theme of Christmas. Now most of what we do is all our groups doings but the campground does have lots for everyone to do like Jello Shot bingo. OK, so maybe they only have bingo and we twist it with Jello Shots. Anyway it is always a fun time.

Once I get there I am more or less out of touch with everything for a weekend. That is nice. Then we come home Monday morning. So I probably will not be around. I thought I would post this to wish everyone, at least from the good old USA, a happy and safe Labor Day Holiday. Bring back lots of fun storries. I hope none of them are about that wild camp site that almost burned down the whole campground. Been there, done that, not doing it again.

I've got to go find a Pic-a-nic Basket --Yogi Bear

Take lots of mosquito repellant, lad. They say they are as big as birds in Durand.

Personally, we're planning to dig out the front yard preparing for sod, and then head to the beach for one day, if we can dodge the storms.

And for Labor Day cooking, Barbie rules. (I always did like her).

Bryan, I was just around the corner from the campground. My brother in law lives about a mile from the camp.

Hope you had a great weekend.

Sign, I was on my way back to home to pick up firewood when the parade was on. I wanted to see it but it was not ment to be. Anyway the weekend went very well. I ended up losing all the games I played and the 50/50 raffle we do but that is fine with me. I am not all about wining. I just enjoyed being out camping again.

Hi there Roxi. I have been busy trying to get caught back up but I promise an update about camping by tomorrow. I am sure it was not as fun as you canno trip but we still had fun. There was just over 40 of us this time.

Lara, I can not believe it. I did not have time to make any jello shots and no one else did either. There ususally are about 80 to 100 dozen so for there to be none was very strange. We still had a fun time however.

Sabatkes, have a great vacation you two. The weather should be cooperating as long as you are not planning on swimming.

Hi Manny, sorry I am trying to get caught up on email that I owe people so I have been MIA lately. I am about caught up now. I promise a new post soon.

Hi Chrissie. I did not see yogi but Mr Ranger was unhappy with us this year. In the end however everything worked out fine. I think Yogi moved on. Someone, and I think it was Yogi, tried to steel a beer cooler while we slept. Needless to say I am not speeking to Yogi and more!

Hi Kim, I visited you blog. Good luck and I hope you have a fun time. Stop on back anytime.

Thank you TNChick. I hope to get back into the hunt on Saturday.

Sarah I am not one to enjoy roughing it but the camping we do is awlays fun. Next year the theme is Disney and we are to come dressed as one of the many Disney characters and dress up the campsite too. It should be fun. I am thinking of being the Beast.

Hi Suze, it was a nice trip and I am finally caught back up I think. Time to get back to blogging.

Dani, we only got a light misting on Sunday morning so all went real well. Sorry to hear things did go as well for you.

Gab I have a few details and I will see if I can slip in a few pictures. Since I took the pictures I am not in them however.

To bad you could not have been threre Denny. Everyone seemed to enjoy it. You would have fit in perfectly.

Gogo I did not think there was any mosquitos but now I see several bites. I guess that is not to bad. The weather even cooperated.

We want lots and lots of pictures and get yourself in some of them. Life at the campgrounds. That'll make a good story I bet. It would if I was there. Just finding a place to plug in my puter would be an adventure. LOL!

Crabby, power ... now power we had plenty of. Networks, however, we were lucky to get cell phone service. It was analog only which ment none of the new phones worked.

Sorry, I am only in one picture which was the group picture. Other than that there is nothing with me in them. I would not want to hurt my camera now would I?

Hellooooo right back at you Manny. I got a post up, just not before you went to work. I will either add some pictures later on or make it a seperate post.
