This weeks theme is LIGHTS.

What could be better this time of year than a Christmas Tree when talking about lights?

In case that one is not good enough, how about one a little closer...

Or finally this one...

Thank you for visiting and have a great weekend. Remember, Christmas is just a little over 3 weeks away.

Hi Bryan,

Nice pictures that really capture today's theme...I really like the last one.

Hope you're surviving the nasty weather. See, that snowblower you bought will come in handy after all!

Cheers,
Carol

Hey Barman!
Thanks for the love!

Yes, my Rio has had 12 years of romping through the orchard. She has lots of things wrong with her, but mostly, a big dog with hip dysplasia is a very bad thing....I think if I keep carrying her around I am going to end up hurt myself!
I know i'm doing the right thing, and thanks!

How are things with you?

Hi Barefoot_mistress, I have been doing OK but keeping busy with cleaning and organizing my garage. Will it never end? I start a diet Monday. We will see if I can get it figured out and make a go of it. Sure wish I would look half as good as you in a year.

Church Lady, thank you. I have a lot to learn. I should probably go back at night some time and practice with the tree. Also the local minor league baseball team does fireworks at least 10 times a year. Another chance to learn what I should be doing.

Ann I have so much to learn about fireworks but I was pleased any of them turned out. I just had to include it.

Carol I am afraid the snowblower will be needed this year. I love the last shot. They picked a lovely tree this year. Only 60 feet tall and weighing in at 6,000 pounds. For a change it looked great even before they patched up the bear spots.

Manny I could climb that tree. Is 10 feet high enough. Much heigher and I might freeze up. That and the state police might hall me off.

FruitfulSpirit good luck with Christmas. The tree with the Capitol in the background looks great. It used to look better when the dome was white but this looks pretty good.

Wystful1 you are right, I love this weeks theme. I could have posted so many other pictures. If only I had Nothern Lights, now that would be spectacular but I have never had a camera when I saw it. The UP of Michigan is the best place to see it. Of course Canada is probably even better.

Annes, Christmas Lights just seem to cheer everything up. I need to go tour the neighborhoods and see some more.

Thank you Mar, they were pretty spectacular.

Gattina, a Christmas tree was just a natural. That and Christmas lights. Thanks for visiting.

Thank you Angelo. I hope to get much better so more turn out then don't. It was fun to see however.

Abe/Happy, I guess you could say that. This is downtown of the capital city for Michigan, Lansing. There are so many other towns like Old Town, Mexican Town, etc. but that would not be town center.

Ma this is a pretty wonderful time of the year if you can only avoid all the shoppers.
