Life is good.
You have
everything you want
But you know
your day is coming.
There seems to be
nothing you can do
to change your fate.
You have tried
running away but every time
you have been caught
and brought back.
This is a very bad time
of the year to be a Turkey.

I know Thanksgiving in Canada is long over and here in the states Thanksgiving is still a few weeks out. Still I could not help but think about the many many poor turkeys out there. But than it could be worse. Did you ever see a show called WKRP in Cincinnati?
There was an episode in WKRP called the Turkey Drop. If you want to view it click here. In the clip the radio stations is trying to promote themselves by giving away 20 live turkeys. They do this by flying over a parking lot with a helicopter and drop the 20 live turkeys. Unfortunetely the turkeys can not fly and crash to the ground. What you do not see and I wish I could find was the very ending of the show. The station manager says "As God is my witness. I thought turkeys could fly." What can I say, simple things for simple minds.

Well, they have wings. Hrmm, wonder why God gave them wings.
:|
Ciara, you got that right.
Snowelf, thank you. I had no idea what I was writing about and somehow that poped into my head. I guess my head is a scary place.
~Deb, yep he gave them wings but he also gave us a apendix too. Only God knows why. Gate to see you Deb. I promise to behave better when I am a guest at your blog.
LOL! This is a great twist in the end :D
A turkey! That is so apt with thanksgiving just around the corner!
Great 55ve Bryan!
Thank you Mona, I loved your 55. You are a genious.
LOL on the Flash Friday. I saw the WKRP show and laughed my ass off. I loved that show.
PS
Thanks for stopping by.
Great 55! I thought,at first, you wrote it about me.
I loved that WKRP episode!
BTE, I really liked the entire show. That particular episode and the one where there ended up back at the station after a bunch of fans were crushed going into a concert because of Stadium Seating were the ones that stick with me for some reason.
Sign I suppose it could have been but you got good things coming your way. And if you don't just let me see if I can get Bubba to fix things for you. In that episode I could not help but love the news coverage from Less Nesman. That all by itself was classic.
Les Nessman!
I SO heart Les Nessman!
But, not as much as I heart Venus Flytrap...
And I always had a thing for Herb too.
Must'a been that snazzy wardrobe of his...
Way cool 55, Barman...LOVE the colours.
My mom gave me this really big turkey breast to make, if I want, for Thanksgiving. It is in my freezer.
We will see what happens...
Gobble, gobble!
Strumpie, I of course had a thing for Jennifer. When you get beyond that I think my next favorite was Johnny Fever. Venus was pretty cool too as was Les and about everyone. The only two I really did not like was Mrs Carlson and Herb Tarlek.
That turkey breast sounds wonderful. I have cooked turkey breast before in a crock pot and was surprised how well it turned out. And tender, it fell off the bone. Now I am hungry for Thanksgiving.
I wish my family would get tired of turkey but its not happening.
I cant deal with it...ick!
:P
Susie, how about tofu turkey? Of course if you did that to me I might have to kill you. Of course if you could make some Indian food (preferably not a curry) I think I could forgive you. I am on a mission to check out Indian food now. All I have had before was at a buffet that I had no idea what I was eating. I kind of liked it but that was ages ago. That hole in the wall restaurant want away. :(
Wow.
Am I glad I scrolled down here to look at these comments, cos I haven't been here at your place in a coupla days now.
Cos guess where my turkey breast is gonna go now?
I hadn't even THOUGHT of that.
I just hope it fits.
It should.
It might be a little bit tight, but it should fit.
As it cooks, it'll shrink, I'm sure.
I'm gonna Google recipes.
Thanks for the idea, Bryan!
You so rock!
I'll actually make it now!
Ha!
I love my crockpot!
xo!
Gobble!
